Singo Night

The Campus Activity Board (CAB) seems to be coming up with new and creative ways for students to enjoy their time on campus every day. CAB hosted the first Singo of the year on September 19 on the Boswell Campus Center (BCC) lawn. You may be wondering what Singo is. Well if you are a fan of music and Bingo, this event will definitely pique your interest. Similar to Bingo, everyone picks a dabber and gets a set of cards. Before the game starts all players receive two cards for the same category and can play with both of them during every round. Instead of the hosts calling numbers they rather inventively play music. If the song that is played happens to be on your card then you proceed to dab it.

During the first round you must get one line of Singo on a card to win. However, in the second round you must get two Singos on the same card to win. The stakes are amped up during the third round though. To win during this game the player has to fill up the entire card. Everyone got to play five rounds of Singo unless they won a prize then they could no longer play afterwards. The song categories from this artsy event included ‘90s pop and 2010’s party mix.

This unique game allowed for people to get a blast from the past in an unexpected and entertaining way while allowing them to dance to familiar songs such as the Macarena. If you and your friends are looking for a great event to attend on campus so that you can all hang out, sing your head off, and have the chance to win prizes then you have to keep and eye out for the next Singo.
