Things to do in or close to Williamsburg
The fall season is upon us, which means many fall activities will occur. If you are wondering if there are any fall activities you can do in or near the Williamsburg area, there are many fun things you can do this fall season. Below are some options you can go out and do this fall that are either in or close to Williamsburg.
Sally Gap Pumpkin Patch
The Sally Gap is a small farm in Williamsburg that offers a variety of fall activities during the season. For $10, you can do activities like a corn maze, a hayride, and a pumpkin patch. This farm is a perfect place if you are looking for somewhere to do cheap but fun outdoor fall activities.
Nature Walks
Check out the beauty of fall by taking a nature walk. Go out and look at how beautiful it is to see the variety of warm colors in the trees. Maybe even play in the leaves. There are various places in Williamsburg to enjoy scenic views, such as Briar Creek Park, through downtown, the trails at Cumberland Falls, or even just a walk-through campus.
Spirit Halloween
If you are looking for a place to shop for all your Halloween needs, Spirit Halloween is 20-30 minutes from campus in Corbin, Ky. You will have until November to look through Halloween costumes, accessories, and decorations. You do not have to buy anything either; looking around at the decorations and animatronics is entertaining enough.
Watch a Horror Movie at the Cinema
With the fall season comes many new horror movies, and why not watch them on the big screen at Tri-County Cineplex? This Cinema is the closest to campus, just a little bit outside Williamsburg in Corbin, Ky. If you want to get scared this fall, many new horror movies are coming to the Tri-County Cineplex, such as The Nun 2, The Exorcist: Believer, Saw X, or Five Nights at Freddy’s. If you are not looking to get scared but still want to enjoy a good movie this fall, there are plenty more non-scary options as well to enjoy.
Attend a Football Game
Fall is also very well known for being football season. Why not spend this fall season supporting UC at one of our football games? You get to watch the game and cheer your team on, and it is also a great way to meet up and have fun with your friends. Be sure to also be on the lookout to attend tailgates, especially homecoming. The best part is all UC students get in free!
Pumpkin Carving or Painting
Pumpkin carving is a classic fall activity that is always fun. Many stores in Williamsburg, such as Walmart, have pumpkins and pumpkin carving kits available to buy. Painting pumpkins is another fun option if you are not into carving. Whether you carve or paint a pumpkin, this would be a fun activity to do with your friends or even solo.
The Williamsburg area is full of fun things you can go out and do this fall season. If you want a fun night, consider enjoying what Williamsburg and the surrounding area offer. Are you going to try any of these activities?
